- The Controller implements the principles of: purpose limitation, data minimisation, accuracy, storage limitation, and integrity and confidentiality of data.
- Before using the Service, the User should read the content of this Policy.
II. Definitions

- Service
- The AnimalBook online service available at https://animalbook.io.
- User
- A natural person whose personal data is processed by the Controller in connection with the use of the Service.

- GDPR
- Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016.
- Payment operator
- PayPro S.A. (Przelewy24) and PayPal — entities handling payments within the Service.
III. Data Controller
The controller of your personal data is AnimalBook Inc., 1309 Coffeen Ave STE, 20436 Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, Filing ID: 2026-002046259.
Data-related enquiries: contact@animalbook.io
IV. Data We Collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we process the following categories of data:
- Contact data — email address provided when placing an order or contacting us.
- Transaction data — information about the selected Plan, amount, currency, status and date of payment, and the transaction identifier.
- Pet profile data — information that the User voluntarily enters into the Service while using its features.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type and information from cookies, collected in connection with the use of the Service.
Providing data is voluntary; however, an email address is required to conclude and perform the Agreement — without it, a paid order cannot be fulfilled. We do not collect or store full payment card data — this is handled directly by the Payment Operators.
V. Purposes and Legal Bases for Processing
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Conclusion and performance of the Service Agreement, order fulfilment and provision of the purchased Plan | Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Payment processing and settlement | Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) |
| Fulfilment of tax and accounting obligations | Art. 6(1)(c) |
| Handling complaints and withdrawals | Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) |
| Reminding the User about the option to renew a periodic Plan | Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest) |
| Ensuring the security and proper operation of the Service | Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest) |
| Establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims | Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest) |
The Controller does not make decisions based solely on automated processing of data, including profiling, that would produce legal effects concerning the User or similarly significantly affect them.
VI. Data Retention Period
- Data related to the Agreement and payment is retained for the duration of the Agreement and for the period required by tax and accounting regulations (generally five years from the end of the year in which the tax obligation arose).
- Data processed on the basis of legitimate interest is retained until a successful objection is lodged or the purpose of processing ceases.
- Profile data is retained until the User deletes the profile or stops using the Service.
- After the retention period, data is deleted or anonymised.
VII. Data Recipients
Data may be shared with the following categories of recipients, solely to the extent necessary:
- Payment operators (Przelewy24 / PayPro S.A., PayPal) for the purpose of processing transactions;
- hosting and IT infrastructure providers for the Service;
- email service providers used to send confirmations and reminders;
- entities providing accounting and legal services;
- public authorities authorised under applicable law.
Entities processing data on our behalf do so under data processing agreements and solely in accordance with our instructions.
VIII. Online Payments
Payments within the Service are handled by Przelewy24 (operator: PayPro S.A., ul. Pastelowa 8, 60-198 Poznan, Poland) and PayPal.
- When selecting a payment method, the User is redirected to the Payment Operator's environment, where they provide the data necessary to complete the transaction.
- In connection with payment processing, the Operator becomes an independent controller of the data provided to it directly. The Operator's data processing rules are set out in its own documents, available on its website.
- The Controller receives from the Operator only information about the status and parameters of the transaction, without full payment instrument data.
- Payments are one-time — the Service does not automatically charge the User's payment instrument on a recurring basis.
IX. Data Transfers Outside the EEA
In connection with the use of PayPal, data may be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers are carried out on the basis of mechanisms ensuring an adequate level of protection as provided for in the GDPR, in particular Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or an adequacy decision.
X. User Rights
In connection with the processing of your data, you have the following rights:
- the right of access to your data and to obtain a copy;
- the right to rectification of your data;
- the right to erasure ("right to be forgotten");
- the right to restriction of processing;
- the right to data portability;
- the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland).
To exercise these rights, contact us at: contact@animalbook.io.
XI. Cookies
- The Service uses cookies — small text files stored on the User's end device.
- We use cookies necessary for the proper operation of the Service (including session management and payment processing) and — if the User consents — analytical or functional cookies.
- The User can manage cookies through browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Restricting cookies may affect the availability of certain Service features.
XII. Data Security

IV. Jakie dane zbieramy
V. Cele i podstawy prawne przetwarzania

| Ustalenie, dochodzenie lub obrona roszczeń | art. 6 ust. 1 lit. f (uzasadniony interes) |

- W momencie wyboru metody płatności Użytkownik zostaje przekierowany do środowiska Operatora płatności, gdzie podaje dane niezbędne do realizacji transakcji.
IX. Przekazywanie danych poza EOG

XII. Bezpieczeństwo danych

- Stosowane zabezpieczenia techniczne i organizacyjne są regularnie weryfikowane i aktualizowane odpowiednio do zagrożeń oraz kategorii chronionych danych.
XIII.
